When you live in a quiet neighborhood or frequently have a need to drive in areas where traffic is light and relatively slow, it just doesn’t make sense to jump into your traditional automobile. One of the new models was the Breeze 2 Passenger, which is suitable for those looking for additional cargo space. The other was the Breeze SL, Polaris’s first NEV to meet street-legal standards right off the showroom floor.

Polaris not only designed the Breeze SL to be street legal but also to be more comfortable than any other vehicle the company produces. The comfort begins with an advanced suspension that has an independent wishbone on the front end and a semi-independent triple link in the rear to provide a smooth ride even on bumpy and uneven surfaces. Passengers are also made to feel as though they are in the lap of luxury with the padded, contoured seats, a spacious cab, and ample legroom.
The Breeze SL has an overall length of 102 inches, a width of 46.5 inches and is 76 inches high from the ground to the top of the canopy, which protects passengers from rain and inclement weather. Also, the sturdy windshield is lightweight yet durable enough to withstand highly forceful impacts.

The Breeze SL also has a generously sized utility basket in the cargo area, which is large enough to hold a full 12-pack cooler. Finally, the sleek design of the body can be personalized by choosing one of three attractive colors: Pearl White, Suede Metallic or Northwoods Green.
The Polaris Breeze SL is not all about comfort. It also excels when it comes to performance. The 10-inch wheels give the vehicle a ground clearance of 4.6 inches, and it has a wheelbase of 63.3 inches. Also, the rack-and-pinion steering provides superior handling on the street and the golf course.
Six 8-volt, deep-cycle batteries power a 48-volt DC motor with 3.3 horsepower, giving the Breeze SL a top speed of 24 mph and a range of up to 35 miles on a single charge. The total weight of the Breeze SL is 1,085 pounds, including the batteries, and the maximum payload capacity is 500 pounds.
